Introducing... ME!

Hi ya'll, I've been wanting to start a blog for a while but didn't have the time, nor the idea of what to write about. Now, I've found myself with the time, but still lack the ideas. I'd love to have a blog that is a resource but that comes with time so I figured it was now or never! I figure, I'll start writing and figure out my purpose as I go! I'm not sure how often I'll be posting; my goal is to aim for once every week or two! Might ask why I'm finally finding the time now? Well I moved. For a job. And while I love my job, my social life is fundamentally lacking what a social life requires - friends. Being new to a city has its ups and downs. I love the exploring the different sites and discovering new things to do but it's easier to do that when you're not wandering around by yourself like a lost tourist! As mentioned, I love finding different, more unique things to do. I said I recently moved. That was from Calgary. There was TONS of things to do... and I'm quite sad I'm missing one of the biggest events of the summer right now (anyone know what I'm talking about? HINT: I said Hi "ya'll" when I started this post). If you guessed Stampede, you would be right! So much fun.. but I digress. Back to what I was saying. You can find almost anything to do in Calgary, but when you have a social life of friends that aren't particularly interested in the arts or unique kind of things to do, it's still difficult to find company in that. Needless to say, those ideas to do different things fell by the wayside. It's now become my mission in Saskatoon. Apart from that, I'm a reader... a bibliophage, if you will (look that one up ;) ). So far, one of the books that tops my list is Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay. If you haven't read it/heard of it, I implore you to pick it up. And I guarantee you won't be able to put it down. If you have any recommendations for me, please send them my way! Maybe I could make this a book review blog? A virtual book club :-) That's probably enough to read for now... although I don't know how many people will actually see this until I really get going. But it's an accomplishment for me. And didn't even take me that long! Ciao for now!
